Midwestern cities have been plagued by economic hardships as jobs leave the area. This coupled with the infrastructural needs of the American automobile-centric lifestyle has transformed the once dense urban fabric of St. Louis into a city of voids. This project attempts to take one of these voids, an empty parking lot located east of Busch Stadium and transform it into a destination. Stealing cues from its context; a structural system based on the idea of braiding transforms this banal parking lot into a distinct location that celebrates St. Louis culture_ beer, baseball and food trucks.
